Your character name suits you.
Not all wealthy players are ebayers . And merching fow armor is worse imo

Who the GORED merchs Vabbian? Assuming they know what went into its creation, that they know armor can be salvaged for precious items, and that said precious items are worth a metric shit-ton more than merched armor, why in Grenth's name would they just merch it? My guess: because they bought an account with a bunch of goodies on it from some place like Ebay or purchased a crapload of plat, therefore they hadn't the foggiest idea of how much these things were worth or how handy they were to hold onto and/or had no idea the armor could be salvaged. If you throw all of that money at getting Vabbian, you should damn well be aware of what an immense goldsink that is. You should also look up Vabbian armor's appearance before crafting it, so you don't piss away plat needlessly on the gems for it.
And anyone who merchs FoW armor should be suspended from a high tree branch by their toes, covered with papiermache and beaten to a rosy red with splinter-ridden yard-long lengths of 1"x2" by kids hopped up on Mountain Dew and cotton candy.

Your guess? So you have no proof? I think some people forget that it's just a game... Not only that but if it's not your account that they merched Vabbian on, why should you care? Nice character name.

I'm with R2-D2 on this one about the Vabbian being merched. If you spent hundreds of thousands of gold on an armorset you don't just merch it for 5k without realizing you're doing something completely retarded.
But to get back on topic the worst I ever got owned was when I had an inventory of whites and started clicking the sell button rapidly and I accidentally merched my perfect zodiac shield. Least it was only req 10, and this was when zodiac shields were worth way more.

Game or not, seeing waste on this scale boggles my mind. Little wonder the economy in GW is so fragile and temperamental, we've got ignorant people turning a large gold sink into an even bigger gold sink with their lack of foresight.

now that i have read the funniest post ever, i can die in peace
and i've 3 times now used more than 10k buying keys because theres no obvious confirmation other than your money losing a bit. if your inventory isnt open, theres no way to "know" a key is bought, unless you (which i didnt when i was noobier) know that theres not SUPPOSED to be a confirmation thing

Most embarassing self ownage would be being overwhelmed by the snowmen in that Treasure quest in GW:EN. I know it's supposed to be Master difficulty level but still, these are freaking lvl 15 snowmen from the Wintersday festival. There was just so many of them and they were on me like Kobe Bryant on a hotel maid.

Without the search function I can't find the actual post but I think he bought a ton of candy cane shards thinking they were going to be used for something special at the finale. When they weren't he was kidded pretty bad. But then, when the festival ended, it turned out you could use them for gifts so he made out ok after all other than a case of carpel tunnel from double clicking to open 1000 gifts or so.

Two stacks of dwarven ale, three stacks of firewater, and partial stacks of every other type of ale...
And decided I don't want to go for the title anymore.
Oh, and one time I joined a Luxon alliance. =P

In total, I'm -88k, and +9 Titan Gemstones..
I proceed to buy 6 more Titans, 15 Stygian, 15 Margonite, and 15 Tormented.
In total I have 15 of each Gem, enough for a nice Armbrace..
I check Wiki [which I could have sworn said the Spirit of Truths was RIGHT inside of the explorable area]... and find out that I have to almost complete the Mallyx quest to get the Armbrace.
I say, screw it, money is boring. Opened 15 Coffers, ended up with an extra 5 of each gemstone, 40 Elixers, 20 Scrolls, and misc other crap. Buy 5 more Coffers, get nothing.
GG -600k for me.
:P

more like -300 tops. Ever since dupes you can find armbraces for 100k+35e anywhere. Makes me pissed they didn't ban everyone that purchased one for 100k or less on the "DupeDay" because i've been in way to many groups where theres a person that has every DoA weapons skin on them. And I say "Wheres your FoW?" And there like "lol, cant afford it. ought my armbrace 5k each in ascalon"
